Sports Museum Launches
Posted by: Tom Richardson on May 07, 2008After many years of dreaming, planning, fund-raising, and politicking, the Sports Museum of America in downtown NYC has finally launched. Today — May 7, 2008 — marks the official opening. Congratulations to Philip Schwalb, Sameer Ahuja, and John Urban. I was fortunate to have been able to consult with Philip a couple of years ago and get an insider’s take on the whole thing. I loved the idea as soon as I heard about it. It’s great for Sports, it’s great for all the NGBs, and it’s great for NY City.
