Jim Schwebel is an experienced and successful executive with a proven track record in sales, sports/entertainment marketing, and team building. An aggressive and creative salesperson, and a savvy, strategic marketer, he has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to drive revenue and establish dynamic business relationships that become lasting partnerships. Along the way, he has developed an enormous and valuable Rolodex.
Jim spent 20 years at the National Football League, most recently as senior vice president of Corporate Sales and Sponsorship, with responsibility for all revenue generation from sponsorship and marketing partnerships. He built and led a team of top sales and service professionals who developed and sold all corporate sponsorships for the League and its special events, including the Super Bowl, the NFL Experience, and the annual Kick Off celebration that has taken place in Times Square and the Mall in Washington, D.C. Additionally, Jim had sales responsibility for all NFL in-house media, including NFL Films programming, NFL Network, and NFL Publishing, (e.g. Super Bowl Program).
At the NFL, Jim was widely credited with creating an organization that was recognized as the leader in sports and entertainment sponsorship sales and service. He was directly involved in generating over $1 Billion from top corporate partners including: Coca Cola, Motorola, Sprint, Procter and Gamble, Kraft, General Mills, Pepsi, Visa, Fed Ex, General Motors, IBM, Anheuser-Busch, Coors, and Staples. He not only sold and serviced these partnerships – he also worked very closely with NFL team marketing personnel and NFL media partners (most recently Fox, CBS, ABC, ESPN) to ensure that sponsors received maximum value from their NFL relationships and achieved their specific goals. A tireless builder of relationships, Jim has direct access to the top decision-makers at virtually every important brand and marketing company in the US.
Prior to joining the National Football League in 1983, Jim spent five years in packaged goods marketing as a brand manager at Lever Brothers and an account manager at Young & Rubicam where he fine-tuned his skills in traditional sales and marketing.
Jim is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College and resides in Westport, CT with his wife and family.
